Amendment Application No. 203 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 In accordance with License Condition 2.C.(5) to Facility Operating License DPR-13, this letter provides the thirteenth edition of the San Onofre Unit 1 Integrated Implementation Schedule (IIS).
The Unit 1 IIS reflects the decision to permanently cease operation of the nuclear reactor at the completion of fuel Cycle 11 as stated in Reference (2).
Should there be a change to this decision, the Unit 1 IIS will be revised accordingly in subsequent editions.

ENCLOSURE INTEGRATED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT 1 THIRTEENTH EDITION JUNE 1992 Introduction This report, the thirteenth edition of the IIS, provides the required status update for the period December 1991 through June 1992. The twelfth edition of the IIS was provided to the NRC by letter, R. M. Rosenblum to NRC Document Control Desk, dated January 14, 1992.
The current Schedules A, B, and C are enclosed as Attachments 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
Progress In Implementing NRC Requirements There have been no refueling or forced outages since the last report (Twelfth Edition dated January 14, 1992), therefore, there has been no change in implementing NRC requirements.
Changes Since The Last Report And The Reasons For Schedule Changes Associated With Schedules A and B.
Because of the intention to permanently cease reactor operation following fuel Cycle 11 (Reference (2)), all Schedule A, B, and C modifications and major evaluations/submittals scheduled for Cycle 12 and 13 have been cancelled with the following exceptions:
Cycle 12 Schedule A Modification - Spent fuel cooling pump modifications (letter to NRC, May 16, 1990 and NRC Amendment Number 132 dated July 16, 1990).
Cycle 12 Schedule B Modification - Spill prevention control and countermeasures modifications (letter from H. Newton (SCE) to A. Coe (California Regional Water Quality Board) dated November 14, 1991).
To support the permanent shutdown and decommissioning of the Unit, two major submittals have been added to the IIS as Schedule B items. The submittal of the Permanently Defueled Technical Specifications (PDTS) is tentatively scheduled for September 1992. The Preliminary Decommissioning Plan (PDP) is tentatively scheduled for submittal by October 1992.
Expected Percentages Allocation Of Resources On Regulatory And Betterment Projects For The Next Refueling/Modification Outage All of the resource allocation for the remaining Schedule A and B modifications is on regulatory projects.
