Letter, R. P. Zimmerman (USNRC-RV) to R. W. Krieger (SCE), dated October 30, 1991 Reference 1 documented Southern California Edison's (SCE) request for a temporary waiver of compliance to defer shutdown of Units 1 and 3 to perform Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) motor flywheel inspections. Reference 2 documents NRC approval of SCE's waiver request.
Unit 1 was subsequently shutdown on November 16, 1991 and the three RCP motor flywheels were satisfactorily inspected.
The inspections were completed on November 18, 1991.
Inspection of the Unit 3 flywheels have not been performed and are the subject of separate correspondence.
