IE Bulletin No. 78-05 Malfunctioning Circuit Breaker Auxiliary Contact Mechanisms In G.E. CR105X Relays Reference is made to your correspondence of April 14, 1978, forwarding the subject IE Bulletin.

Identified therein was a problem relative to the malfunc tioning of certain GeneralElectric Model CR105X circuit breaker auxiliary contact mechanisms, i.e., some CR105X auxiliary contacts had failed in the closed position due to nicks and burrs on the surface of the plunger arm.

In response to the action items delineated in the subject Bulletin, please be advised that no General Electric Model CRl05X auxiliary contact mechanisms are in use at San Onofre Unit 1, nor are such mechanisms in spares inventory or on order.

Resonse relative to Dockets 50-361 and 50-362 will be provided under separate cover.
