BOARD NOTIFICATION OF STAFF EVALUATION OF PHIFER LETTER AND RECENT SEISMIC SWARM NEAR SAN ONOFRE SITE The Geosciences Branch has recently completed its evaluation of the Phifer letter of October 8, 1981, and the applicants letters of November 18 and November 30, 1981.
Since the Phifer and applicant correspondence has previously been transmitted to the Board, and the Board is near a decision on the seismic contentions in the San Onofre 2 and 3 hearing, it seems appropriate to provide the Board with the staff's evaluation as soon as possible.
