I am pleased to provide the Environmental Protection Agency with copies of the Final Environmental Statement, prepared by the Commission's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation on environmental considerations under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 relating to the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3.
This Final Environmental Statement was prepared in accordance with the statement of general policy and procedure on implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as set forth in the Commission's regulations, 10 CFR Part 51.
A notice of availability of the statement is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for filing and publication (copy enclosed).
The Final Environmental Statement includes a discussion of problems and objections raised by Federal, State and local agencies or officials and private organizations and individuals and the disposition thereof.
