This letter acknowledges receipt of your response to the Marine Review Committee's report of October 9, 1979, evaluating the radiological monitoring program at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant.
I appreciate the thoroughness of your response and would like the Marine Review Committee (MRC) to have an opportunity to review the material you enclosed before replying in detail to your letter.
It is heartening to see that many of the changes in monitoring procedure suggested by the MRC have already been instituted by your agency at the suggestion of other experts in the field.
I hope the Marine Review Committee's work will be useful to the Environmental Effects Research Branch as well.
I look forward to further dialogue on thils vitally implortant issue.
