Dear Ms. Hicks:

As one of the parties to the completed proceedings in the matter of the application by Southern California Edison Company, et.al. for operating licenses for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3, you have been receiving copies of correspondence to the licensees ori ginated by the Division of Licensing during our review of the application and subsequent licensing and operation of the facilities.

In accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) regulations, documents filed by the licensees and correspondence from us regarding the operation of the facilities will continue to be made available in the NRC and local public document rooms. In addition, NRC Regional Offices or headquarters will issue public announcements should any significant events occur with respect to the facilities.

Since the proceedings to which you were an intervening party have been completed and operating licenses issued for the San Onofre 2 and 3 facilities and in light of the availability of documents in the public records, we will discontinue sending you copies of our correspondence to the Southern California Edison Company. If you wish to continue this service, please let us know. We hope that we have been helpful over the years and that the above sources of information will adequately serve your future needs.

Sincerely, George W. KnIghton 6312090179 831118 PDR ADOCK 05000361 G
