Docket Nos. 50-361 OL and 50-362 OL Gentlemen:

At the July 17, 1980 prehearing conference in this proceeding, I informed the Board and parties of the then-current schedule for issuance of the Staff's Safety Evaluation Report (SER), presentation to the ACRS, issuance of the first SER Supplement and issuance of the Final Environmental Statement (FES) (Tr.

186-187).

Since then, the Staff's schedule for the above events has been adjusted.

The current estimates are:

Issuance of SER -

later 1980/ early 1981 Presentation to ACRS -

about 1 month after issuance of SER First SER supplement -

about It weeks after ACRS meeting 1ssuance-of FES -

November 198b With respect to the FES, the Staff ist currently preparing a revision to Chapter 7, Environmental Impact of Po'stulated Accidents, to include consideration of Class 9 accidents in accordance with the Commission's Statement of Interim Policy of June 1980 (45 F.R. 40101). This revision is expected to be published in December 1980 as a draft with opportunity for comment.

The Staff will then prepare a supplement to the FES to address, comments received on the revised Chapter 7, which it estimates will be issued in late February 1981.
