Dear Members of the Board:
On May 12, 1981, the Staff served a document entitled, "NRC STAFF'S ANSWER TO REVISED CONTENTIONS SUBMITTED BY INTERVENORS FOE ET AL." on the Licensing Board and parties. Although not evidenced on the Certificate of Service transmitting the Staff's Answer, service upon Messrs. Pigott and Wharton was effected by Express Mail on that date in accordance with the Licensing Board's Prehearing Conference Order, dated May 8, 1981 ;(at 7).
In the future, the Certificate of Service will indicate when and upon whom service is made by Express Mail.
I am advised, however,,that Express Mail service is not available to Mrs. Gallagher in Anaheim, California, Mrs. Johnson, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, or Dr. Hand inBodega Bay, California. I am trying to determine whether other expedited service may be available for these individuals to assure the timely receipt of Staff filings.
