SUMMARY
OF SAN ONOFRE MEETINGS OF AUGUST 12-15, 1980 On August 12 through 15, 1980, members of the NRC. Staff met with the applicants and their contractors, Combustion Engineering.and Bechtel, in Bethesda, Maryland, to discuss the non-TMI-related open items.
Most of these items were previously identified in the NRC letter of March 15, 1979, "SER OPEN ITEMS LIST," Robert L. Baer to James H..Drake and B. W. Gilman. Enclosure 1 gives the agenda and attendees at the meetings. is a list of the open items discussed at.the meetings, the current status of each item (open or resolved), and the organization responsible for the next action. At the meeting, the staff indicated that for dose calculations, 8.gph is a more appropriate leak rate than 50 gpm for leakage from ESF equipment.,
At the meeting, the applicants committed..to install the 3rd auxiliary feedwater pump prior to exeeeding 5f. power...
