SUMMARY
OF MEETING TO DISCUSS CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW PROGRAI On July 2, 1980, members of the NRC staff met with the applicant (SCE) and its contractors in Bethesda, Maryland to discuss the above subject.
Attendees at the meeting are given in 3nclosure 1.
At the meeting the applicant presented the control room design review program that it plans to conduct. Major milestones for the program are given in Enclosure 2. At the meeting the staff indicated that it would like to visit the plant control room and discuss plant operation with the plant operators. The site visit was scheduled for the week of August 4, 1980. The staff requested that to facilitate the site visit, the applicant should have available for staff review at the site visit (or, if possible, submit prior to the visit) the following items:
(1) a set of drawings of the control room and panel layouts (2)
Jhotographs of the control room panels (3) selected emergency procedures;.specificially:
- a. LOCA
- b. Steam generator tube rupture
- c. Feedwater lia break
- d. Loss of feedwater The staff indicated that a summary report of the results of the control room site visit would be issued within about two weeks after the visit is completed.
