REQUEST FOR HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF DOCKETING AND OPPORTUNITY TO REQUEST A HEARING AND TO PETITION FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE, FOR EXELON GENERATION COMPANY, LLC, BYRON NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, AND BRAIDWOOD NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, DOCKET NOS. 50-454, 50-455, 50-456, AND 50-457 The Office of the Secretary received a hearing request and a petition to intervene via E-filing from the Environmental Law and Policy Center on September 23, 2013. The request was submitted in response to a notice by the NRC staff that provided an opportunity for a hearing on the renewal of the operating license which authorizes the Exelon Generation Company, LLC to operate for an additional 20-year period beyond the period specified in the current license.
The Notice of Opportunity to Request a Hearing and Petition to Intervene was published in the Federal Register at 78 Fed. Reg. 44603, July 24, 2013.
