ATTACHMENT (1)

CHANGES TO COMMITMENTS MADE TO THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION Calvert Cliffs (NRC):

Commitment:

Change:

Justification:

has changed the following commitments made to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Line items 201 and 210 provide for inclusion of refueling water tank penetrations and associated welds as locations to be walked down by MN-1-319, System and Structure Walkdowns and the Age-Related Degradation Inspection Programs to manage effects of aging during the period of extended operations.

Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant will not be crediting periodic walkdowns performed as part of the MN-1-319, System and Structure Walkdowns and the Age-Related Degradation Inspection Program to management effects of aging on subject structures, systems, and components.

Engineering study performed by Design Engineering concluded that periodic inspections of refueling water tank penetrations and associated welds performed as part of the Boric Acid Corrosion Inspection Program will be sufficient to manage effects of aging on subject structures, systems, and components, as outlined on Line Item 204 on Updated Final Safety Analysis Report Table 16-2.

Visual Inspection of Graylor clamps on Reactor Vessel Level Monitoring System flanges.

Commitment is no longer required.

The Graylor clamps were removed when the Reactor Vessel Head was replaced. New Quickloc stalks have no license renewal commitments.
