REFERENCE:

(a) EA-13-092, Order Designating an Interim Class of NRC-Licensed Facilities that are Eligible to Apply to the Commission for Authorization to Use the Authority Granted Under the Provisions of Section 161A of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as Amended, dated June 5, 2013 In accordance with Section IV.3 of NRC Order EA-13-092 (Reference a), this letter provides notification that a sufficient number of personnel have successfully completed the requisite firearms background check such that the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station (NMPNS), Unit I and Unit 2, security organization can be staffed in accordance with NMPNS' NRC-approved security plan, and that the NMPNS site protective strategy and procedures can be effectively implemented while meeting applicable fatigue requirements in 10 CFR Part 26, "Fitness for Duty Programs."
