BEAVER VALLEY POWER STATION, UNIT NO.1, AND PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NO.1 - REPLACEMENT OF PARENT COMPANY GUARANTEE (TAC NOS. MF0401, AND MF0403)
Dear Mr. Sena:
By letter dated December 17,2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12363A037), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC), on behalf of FlrstEnergy Corporation, and FirstEnergy Nuclear Generation, LLC. (FENGenCo),
provided a copy of a $95 million parental guaranty [guarantee], dated December 19,2011, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
FENGenCo has a 100 percent undivided ownership interested In Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 1, and 87.2 percent or (he undivided ownership of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1.
By letter dated March 28, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13086A244), the NRC staff submitted a request for additional information (RAI) to the licensee to complete its review.
FENOe responded to the RAls in a letter dated June 18, 2013, with an amended Parent Company Guaranty [guarantee] (ADAMS Accession No. ML13169A262).
FENOC has provided an updated Parent Company Guarantee per the RAls. The NRC staff has no other questions at this time regarding the updated Parent Company Guarantee and IS closing TAC Nos. MF0401 and MF0403.
