Site  : SALEM Emergency Class  : NON EMERGENCY "At approximately 0949 EDT on July 10, 2013, an endangered species Kemp's Ridley sea turtle was recovered during raking operations at the circulating water intake structure. The sea turtle is alive. PSEG Nuclear Environmental Affairs has contacted the National Marine Fisheries Service and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. This is a 4 hr.

report to the NRC under 10CFR50.72(b)(2)(xi) because notification to other government agencies have been made.

"The report was made to the National Marine Fisheries Service at 1052 and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection at 1053 to inform them of the recovered sea turtle."

The licensee will also be notifying the Lower Alloways Creek Township and the NRC Resident Inspector.

Notified R1DO (Cook) and Endangered Species group via email.
