Chapter 17 - Decommissioning and Possession-Only License Amendments Decommissioning CHAPTER 17 DECOMMISSIONING AND POSSESSION-ONLY LICENSE AMENDMENTS 17.1 DECOMMISSIONING Per Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.34(a)(1)(i), a Construction Permit applicant for a non-power reactor is required to submit in their Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) the information prescribed in 10 CFR 50.34, paragraphs (a)(2) through (a)(8). Thus, the PSAR is not required to contain a decommissioning report or decommissioning plan. A decommissioning report is submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.33(k)(1) with the Operating License application.
