By letter dated March 5, 2013, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted Vogtle Electric Generating Plant's (VEGP) flooding hazard reevaluation report (Reference 1) as requested by Reference 2. Language in the cover letter of Reference 1 was identified as not being clear by the NRC staff. As such, this letter clarifies the original language in Reference 1.

The original paragraph in Reference 1 read:

This completes the flooding hazard reevaluation for VEGP Units I and 2 as required by Reference 1. If an integrated assessment is requested by the NRC as specified in Reference 1, it will be complete in 2015 or per the priority determined by the NRC after all reevaluations requested by Reference 1 are complete and submitted by Reference 1 recipients.

Reference 1 completed the flooding hazard reevaluation for VEGP Units 1 and 2 as required by Reference 2. SNC will perform an integrated assessment as specified in Reference 2. This integrated assessment will be submitted within 2 years from submission of Reference 1.
