U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 April 25, 2013 Amendment 10 reflects changes and analyses made since the issuance of Amendment 9 (References 3 and 4). This includes editorial corrections and changes in design pursuant to 10 CFR 50.59, "Changes, Tests, and Experiments." A summary of the evaluations made under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 is being provided under a separate letter.
After the submittal of UFSAR Amendment 8 (Reference 1), TVA contacted the NRC to confirm acceptability of the amendment due to some documents, including some of the figures in Amendment 8, not being text searchable. From this discussion, TVA agreed to add text searchable title blocks to the figures that were updated for each subsequent amendment until the licensing of WBN Unit 2 is complete. The basis for this action is that TVA committed in Reference 2 to merge the Unit 2 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) with the Unit I UFSAR after Unit 2 is licensed to create a UFSAR that addresses both units.
That amendment may require the removal or replacement of numerous figures, and therefore, will be the correct point to ensure the applicable figures for both units meet all NRC requirements for electronic submittals.
This letter certifies that the information provided in the enclosed Amendment 10 accurately reflects information and analysis from changes made since the issuance of Amendment 9.
