Huntington Beach, General Comment Re-opening the power plant without ensuring it is up to the correct safety standards jeopardizes the health of at least 8 million Southern California residents. It is an irresponsible gamble on our safety and I do not consent. If the plant is reopened prematurely, while repairs still need to be made and the pipes are already showing signs of heavy wear, it is likely that the plant will continue to experience frequent problems and safety hazards. It is better to take the time needed to administer proper repairs to ensure that the plant will function properly on a long-term basis.
