INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NO.3 - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING REVISIONS TO REFUELING WATER STORAGE TANK TEMPERATURE AND CONTAINMENT PRESSURE IN CONTAINMENT INTEGRITY ANALYSIS (TAC NO. MF0591)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated January 28, 2013, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., the licensee, proposed technical specification changes to address mass and energy release errors identified in Westinghouse Nuclear Safety Advisory Letter 11-5.
The Safety Issue Resolution Branch of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation is reviewing the submittal and has determined that additional information is needed to complete its review. The specific question is found in the enclosed request for additional information (RAI). Based on our discussions, we understand that a response to the RAI will be provided within 30 days of the date of this letter.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTAINMENT INTEGRITY ANALYSIS ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC, INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NO.3 DOCKET NO. 50-286 The Entergy request for technical specification changes states that a reanalysis of the containment analysis of the Indian Point Unit 3 large-break loss-of-coolant-accident was performed to address mass and energy release errors identified in Westinghouse Nuclear Safety Advisory Letter 11-5. Has the change in the calculated energy that is released to the containment been evaluated for effects on the emergency core cooling system sump net positive suction head margin that is credited in the Indian Point Unit 3 response to GL-2004-02?
If yes what is the effect?
