Letter, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. to USNRC, "Technical Specifications Proposed Change No. 300, Supplement 1, Response to Request for Additional Information," BVY 12-067, dated November 20, 2012

Dear Sir or Madam:

In Reference 1, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) submitted a request for an amendment to the Vermont Yankee (VY) renewed facility operating license (RFOL) to revise license conditions (LC) 3.P and 3.Q related to license renewal commitments. Reference 2 provided a response to an NRC request for additional information (RAI). The RAI response included a proposed revision to LC 3.Q that would result in the LC being historical in context. As discussed with the NRC Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Project Manager for VY, VY proposes that LC 3.Q be deleted in its entirety because VY is already in the period of extended operation and LC 3.Q would no longer be applicable. This proposed change is considered administrative in nature.

This supplement to the original license amendment request does not change the scope or conclusions in the original application, nor does it change Entergy's determination of no significant hazards consideration.

There are no new regulatory commitments being made in this letter.

Should you have any questions concerning this letter or require additional information, please contact Robert Wanczyk at 802-451-3166.
