Dear Mr. Flores:

In communications on February 8, 2013, Mr. S. Hedger, Operator Licensing Branch, and Mr. R. Kidwell, Emergency Planning Manager, made arrangements for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to conduct an inspection using Temporary Instruction (TI)-186, Inspection of Procedures and Processes for Responding to Potential Aircraft Threats, at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. This inspection is planned for the week of July 29, 2013.

The NRC inspectors request to observe a tabletop or control room simulator exercise, combined with plant walkthroughs with plant operators to allow inspection of TI-186 attributes. Mr. R.

Kidwell has been advised of this request and provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector assigned to this inspection.
