Document Control Desk January 29, 2013 Page 2 On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Reference (a) to request information associated with the Near-Term Task Force (NTTF) Recommendation 2.1 for flooding. One request was for licensees to submit an approach for developing an Integrated Assessment Report, including criteria for identifying vulnerabilities, within 60 days after issue of the NRC's guidance on the subject. Reference (b) provided that guidance on November 30, 2012.

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, and Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant will use the Reference (b) guidance as the approach for developing the NTTF 2.1 Flooding Integrated Assessment Report if the reevaluated flooding hazard is not bounded by the current design basis flooding evaluation.

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, and Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant will use the guidance provided by Reference (c) regarding the trigger conditions and scope of any required integrated assessment.
