Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) letter to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) dated October 17,2012, Watts Bar Nuclear Plant
- Notification of Licensed Operator Initial Examination 05000390/201 3301 As documented in the referenced letter, operating and written examinations for a group of Watts Bar Nuclear Plant WBN) operator license applicants are scheduled to begin on March 18,2013. Also in the referenced letter, the NRC indicated the written examination outline was provided to WBN in September 2011. Consistent with the schedule defined in the referenced letter, the outlines for the operating test were placed in the overnight mail to Mr. Ken Schaaf, NRC Region ll, on December 17,2012.
This letter contains no new commitments and in accordance with 10 CFR 55.49, "lntegrity of examinations and tests," and NUREG 1021, "Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors," appropriate measures have been taken to ensure examination integrity and security. Accordingly, it is requested that the exam outlines provided to Mr. Ken Schaaf be withheld from public disclosure until the examinations are completed.
