Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated August 21,2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No, ML12240A225), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc, (Entergy. the licensee) submitted the Physical Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 12, for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station in accordance with paragraph 50.54(p)(2) of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The enclosure to the letter contained Safeguards Information and has been withheld from public disclosure.
The U,S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the information provided by the licensee and determined that the additional information identified in the enclosure to this letter is needed in order for the NRC staff to complete its review, The request for additional information was discussed with your staff on December 10, 2012, and it was agreed that your response would be provided by January 31, 2013.
