GE Energy, Houston, TX, October 2003 to Jan 2006

  • Product Manager, Integrity Services - Lead the development of a new service offering to identify external corrosion in pipeline systems that could not be inspected with internal magnetic flux leakage technology (i.e., smart pigs). Mr. Biagiotti lead the technical programming team that created data processing software for analyzing cathodic protection inspection data (i.e., close interval survey, DCVG, PCM, etc.) to determine the combination of conditions with the greatest likelihood for external corrosion. He also has experience retrofitting piping for conventional inline inspection and hydrostatic testing operations. He has worked with companies to understand their current pipeline conditions, evaluating alternatives, and executing the most cost-effective inspection projects.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, Orange, CA, April 2003 to October 2003

  • Manager Pipeline Risk Analysis- Mr. Biagiotti was responsible for compliance with the Pipeline Integrity Management regulations (49 CFR part 192) for one of the largest hazardous liquid pipeline systems in the US - over 10,500 miles of transmission pipe. He managed all aspects of the written integrity management plan including the data management, GIS, High Consequence Area identification, and risk assessment activities. He had P/L responsibility for

$8.5 million dollars in 2003.

Bass-Trigon Software, Littleton, CO, January 1999 to March 2003

  • Vice President, Risk Engineering - Bass-Trigon Software was the industry innovator and leader in pipeline risk assessment software. The application was Access based, and was one of the first in the industry to dynamic segmentation to discover patterns in data. Mr. Biagiotti was the head of the technical group responsible for selecting the critical engineering parameters required to indicate the likelihood of over 21 unique pipeline threats, as well as designing new functionality for the software. He worked with clients implementing the risk software to maximize the benefit to their business. He is very familiar with Microsoft Access, SQL, and Visual Basic.

ARCO Exploration & Production Technology, Plano, TX, March 1998 to January 1999

  • Principal Research Engineer in the Material Technology Group - Mr. Biagiotti provided technical support in the areas of NDT, welding, corrosion protection, and fracture mechanics. He conducted research in the new area of weldable 13Cr pipeline technology, specifically in mildly sour CO2 service exposed to cathodic protection. Served as the Material Specialist for the design of two new sour LNG facilities for plants in Qatar and Papua New Guinea.
