It was submitted by Adrian McInman (a mcinman(@hotmail.com) on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 19:40:44 DocumentTitle: Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants:

Supplement 38 Regarding Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos.

2 and 3 - Draft Report for Comment NUREG-1437, Supplement 38, Volume 4, Draft Report)

Comments: I live in New York City and am very concerned, becuase not only does America (and the world) not need another nuclear power station, when safer green technology is now available, but it certainly does not need Indian Point's two seriously old nuclear power reactors being allowed to continue to operate.

Their operating licenses expire in 2013 and 2015 and that should be the end of their existence.

Please do not approve Entergy's bid to re-license them.

As a psychologist, I am concerned that one day you may come to see me about how you can't sleep at night and need help as you feel guilty, because you played a part in the licenses being extended, when you knew that any rational person would not extend them, especially as the plant sits on top of two active fault lines, and yet there was the inevitable industrial accident.

Please realise that you are in the 21st century and their are other ways of creating energy.

Most people do actions they think will result in greater happiness that in fact don't do so (e.g., pursue money, money, money).

The homosapian species is not that intelligent.

Please do not be like so many homosapians making poor decisions.

Instead, please act rationally and do not approve Entergy's re-licensing bid for Indian Point.
