Dear Mr. Henderson:
This letter is to inform you of a Category 1 public meeting which has been scheduled for September 11, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The enclosed meeting notice provides additional details. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the preliminary Yellow and Greater than Green finding documented in the Catawba SIT report/choice letter (ML12207A614). Both of these findings dealt with the inoperability of offsite power caused by a modification to the generator protection circuitry on Unit 1.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
