Dear Mr. Molden:

By letter dated May 15, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML12137A825), you applied for an amendment to Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, Renewed Operating License Nos. DPR-42 and DPR-60. The proposed change would have modified facility technical speCification (TS) 3.8.1 emergency diesel generator voltage test requirements to resolve non-conservative TS requirements in accordance with Administrative Letter 98-10, "Dispositioning of Technical Specifications That Are Insufficient to Assure Plant Safety." By letter dated July 12, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12184A107), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission requested additional information to support the acceptance of the license amendment request. Subsequently, by letter dated August 9,2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12223A034), you withdrew the amendment request.

The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
