Letter from D. L. Skeen (NRC) to A. P. Heymer (NEI), dated May 31, 2012, Endorsement of Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Draft Report 1025286, "Seismic Walkdown Guidance," ML12145A529 On March 12, 2012, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Reference (a). Enclosure 3 of Reference (a) contains specific requested actions, requested information, and required responses associated with Recommendation 2.3: Seismic.
This letter provides the required 120-day response to Recommendation 2.3: Seismic in Reference (a).
For seismic Recommendation 2.3 (walkdowns), Enclosure 3 of Reference (a) states that each licensee will confirm that they intend to use the NRC-endorsed seismic walkdown procedure or provide to the NRC a Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, LLC 100 Constellation Way, Suite 200C, Baltimore, MD 21202

We confirm that we intend to use the seismic walkdown procedure (EPRI 1025286, "Seismic Walkdown Guidance: For Resolution of Fukushima Near-Term Task Force Recommendation 2.3: Seismic") as endorsed by Reference (b) to conduct the walkdowns and develop the needed information.
This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
