Dear Sir or Madam:

On March 12, 2012, the NRC issued Reference 1 to all power reactor licensees. of Reference 1 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information, and a Required Response associated with Recommendation 2.3 for Seismic aspects. This letter provides Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergys) 120-day response to Reference 1 for Seismic Recommendation 2.3 for Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 (Waterford 3).

For Seismic Recommendation 2.3 (walkdowns), Enclosure 3 of Reference 1 states that each licensee will confirm that they intend to use the NRC-endorsed seismic walkdown procedure or provide to the NRC a description of the process that will be used to conduct the walkdowns and develop the needed information.

W3F1-2012-0055 Page 2 of 2 Entergy confirms that it will use the seismic walkdown procedure (EPRI Report 1025286, Seismic Walkdown Guidance: For Resolution of Fukushima Near-Term Task Force Recommendation 2.3: Seismic) as endorsed by Reference 2 as the basis to conduct the walkdowns and develop the needed information at Waterford 3.

The new commitment contained in this submittal is summarized in the attachment.
