Subject:
North Anna document ML051400087 EPRI NP-6695, "Guidelines for Nuclear Plant Response to an Earthquake: is in ADAMS at ML051400087.
Beginning with page 89 that ADAMS no also has documents for other plants/subjects included in the ML file that should be removed and assigned another ADAMS no. Obviously a mistake has been made in assigning those other documents to the same ADAMS no. as the EPRI report.
One reason for assigning the other documents another ADAMS no. is that it is unlikely that someone would ever find the IPE for Point Beach if it is hidden within an ADAMS no assigned to the ERPI report.
The urgency for ADAMS IM (or someone) to resolve this issue lies in the likely great interest in the EPRI report in response to the recent seismic event affecting North Anna and other plants. Unless this is corrected, I anticipate a barrage of questions as to why the other reports are included in the file for the EPRI report.

imageO0.gif ADAMS IM Jeryll made the statement below that, "You would need to consult with the PM with respect to an explanation."
Bob Martin is a PM and he does not understand why Pages 89 through 202 exist. I am the Point Beach PM and also confused.
The only individuals who would have an answer as to why the document was submitted in this manner are the submitters of the document.
I don't know if any of the NRC staff requested this EPRI document. If someone from the NRC staff requested this document be scanned and docketed, then that would be the individual to contact regarding the apparent additional and supposedly extraneous information.
Note: The document profile indicates the author name as MPR Associates, and the document was prepared for R.P. Kassawara of EPRI. I believe that Dr. Kassawara was recently in D.C. for an EPRI meeting and perhaps someone from the NRC staff requested this EPRI guideline. Just an assumption.
Did someone specifically from the NRC staff request this be entered into ADAMS? If the information was provided on a CD, perhaps the entire CD should not have been placed on the docket - only the EPRI guidelines.

"Documents submitted with Revisions toPoint Beach EALs based on NEI 99-01, Revision 4" We can discuss further. However, I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow until 9/12 Thanks
