SEABROOK STATION, UNIT 1 - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN
Dear Mr. Freeman:
By letter dated December S, 2011 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML 11346AS94), NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra, the licensee) submitted the Seabrook Station's Physical Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 17. The enclosure to the letter contained Safeguards Information and has been withheld from public disclosure. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is currently reviewing the submittal to ensure compliance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section SO.S4(p)(2).
The NRC staff's request for additional information (RAI) is enclosed, A draft of these questions was previously sent, via email onJanuary30.2012(ADAMSAccessionNo.ML120300416).to Mr. Paul Willoughby of your staff with an opportunity to have a teleconference to ensure that the licensee understood the questions and their regulatory basis and to verify that the information was not previously docketed. On February 6, 2012, a teleconference was held between the NRC staff and NextEra personnel and at the end of the teleconference, Mr. Paul Willoughby of your staff agreed that NextEra would respond to the RAI within 30 days of the date of this letter.
Enclosure transmitted herewith contains Sensitive Unclassified Non.Safeguards Information. When separated from the enclosure, this transmittal I document is decontrolled.
