North Anna
- Robert, I called earlier regarding the status of North Anna following the seismic event in Virginia. I understand that the plant has been shutdown. If it is determined that the OBE has been exceeded in accordance with RG 1.166 and that restart will follow guidance provided in RG 1.167, please let me know. I am currently working on updating RG 1.167 "Restart of a Nuclear Power Plant Shut Down by a Seismic Event," and we may be able to learn from this event and make improvements to the RG as a result. If it is possible for me to participate and learn directly from the application of RG 1.167 through a site visit with the resident inspectors during post seismic inspections, tests, etc., I would be interested in doing so. Please keep me up to date on events at North Anna and let me know if there is an opportunity to participate in any post seismic inspections/evaluations.
