Daily event status at Fort Calhoun Fort Calhoun Flooding Status (changes from yesterday's report are in bold)
- 1. Reactor Status: Shutdown

Yesterday afternoon (June 30, 2011), a small fire occurred during refueling of one of the flooding mitigation pumps. The fire was inside the protected area, but outside of any buildings. The fire was extinguished very quickly, and no additional EALs were applicable.
During the fire, one worker was injured and was taken offsite by LifeFlight. This was communicated last night to states and counties,
- and no new status of this injured worker is known at this time.
- 9. Early Sunday morning (June 26, 2011), one of the AquaDams that was protecting the plant ruptured. The AquaDam was a backup (secondary) flood protection barrier. All primary barriers are intact and are providing adequate protection to the site. The station is on 345 kv power. Water has not entered any vital equipment, and no personnel were injured. Water has equalized onsite, repair efforts are underway. This section of the AquaDam is expected C-Z
to be replaced, in the next two* weeks.::":.
