The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has completed draft Supplement 2 to NUREG-0498, "Final Environmental Statement Related to the Operation of Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2." Enclosed is a copy of the draft supplement and the associated Notice of Availability that will be published in the Federal Register. This notice advises the public that the draft supplement is available for public inspection at the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html(online in the NRC Library) and directly from the NRC Website at www.nrc.gov.
The notice also informs the public that a public meeting on the draft supplement will be held at the Magnuson Hotel at 1421 Murrays Chapel Road in Sweetwater, Tennessee, on Thursday, December 8, 2011. As discussed in the enclosed notice, the staff is providing the public with the opportunity to provide comments. The meeting will consist of two sessions, which will cover the same subjects.
