SUBJECT:
NRC OVERSIGHT OF CRYSTAL RIVER UNIT 3 DURING EXTENDED SHUTDOWN By your memorandum dated September 16, 2011(Agencywide Document Access Management System Accession No. ML112590546), Region II provided an inspection plan to implement Inspection Manual Chapter (IMC) 0351, Implementation of the Reactor Oversight Process at Reactor Facilities in an Extended Shutdown Condition for Reasons Other Than Significant Performance Problems.
The Division of Inspection and Regional Support in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation concurs with the regional decision to implement IMC 0351 and the associated inspection plan for Crystal River Unit 3.
