RE: Site Visit to Surry Hi Rich - Not in August, not before December either. We are currently revising the schedule to deliver the draft NUREG to the Commission in October. After the Commission's review (allowing for a couple of months), we will release the documents for public review and comment in the January/February 2011 time frame. It is during that period that we need to have meetings at the site vicinities and the Washington DC area.

We plan to discuss the details of the schedule this Thursday. You will obtain better insights into the timing then.

RE: Site Visit to Surry Jimi -

Can you also tell me the latest projection for having the public meetings near the sites?

Last I heard was for August. Is the expectation that NRR will take care of the coordination and planning for the public meetings or will RES be handling this? If it's NRR, we're behind the curve, as we should already have draft public meeting notices ready. Also, I'd appreciate it if you could send me the latest Program Review & Approval Time Table. My latest version is from 5/27. Thanks.

Site Visit to Surry Rich; In response to your phone message about the site visit comment I made at the team yesterday, yes we need to make a return visit to Surry similar to the one we made to Peach Bottom. No, we have not contacted anybody regarding this. The SOARCA approach is that we leave all the coordination and planning of such activities to NRR. Jon Barr, the acting SOARCA PM, will work with the project staffs to come up with what time frame we would like to target and then talk to you. I just wanted to acknowledge to the team yesterday that I support a re-visit to Surry.
