RE: Site Visit to Surry Date:

Tuesday, July 20, 2010 11:02:00 AM Thanks Jimi. We'll need to notify the licensee and region as soon as possible for a proposed visit during the 1 st week of Aug along w/the details of the visit.

Jon or Bob - please send me a brief summary (or bullets similar to what was provided in support of the PB visit) w/overview and purpose of the visit, participant names, proposed timeframes, requested assistance from Region, any specific information needs being requested by the licensee, etc.

We'll coordinate the requests through the Surry PM, her licensing contact, and as needed, the resident inspector(s). If there are folks on the licensee side that you have already established communications with, please let us know that background as well.

Karen Cotton (NRR Surry PM) is added on Cc: for her awareness.

Thanks, Rich From: Yerokun, Jimi Sent: Friday, July 16, 2010 10:58 AM To: Guzman, Richard Cc: Barr, Jonathan; Schaperow, Jason; Prato, Robert

Site Visit to Surry Rich; In response to your phone message about the site visit comment I made at the team yesterday, yes we need to make a return visit to Surry similar to the one we made to Peach Bottom. No, we have not contacted anybody regarding this. The SOARCA approach is that we leave all the coordination and planning of such activities to NRR. Jon Barr, the acting SOARCA PM, will work with the project staffs to come up with what time frame we would like to target and then talk to you. I just wanted to acknowledge to the team yesterday that I support a re-visit to Surry.
