dated July 1,2011 The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC that the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN)
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit No. TN0020168 has been modified and renewed by the state of Tennessee. In accordance with Section 3.2, "Reporting Requirements for Changes to, and Renewal of, the NPDES Permit or State Certification," of Appendix B, "Environmental Protection Plan," to the WBN, Unit 1, Facility Operating License No. NPF-90, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is providing the above referenced NPDES Permit No. TN0020168 to the NRC (Enclosure 1).
The Environmental Protection Plan, Section 3.2, specifies that changes to, and renewals of, the NPDES permits shall be reported to the NRC within 30 days following the date the change or renewal is approved. Since NPDES Permit No. TN0020168 was issued on June 30, 2011, this submittal is provided within 30 days of June 30, 2011, which is July 30, 2011.
