Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 30-Day Response to NRC Bulletin 2011-01, Mitigating Strategies NRC Bulletin 2011-01 requested that licensees provide information on their mitigating strategies programs in order for NRC to confirm continued compliance with 10 CFR 50.54(hh)(2).

Accordingly, the Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) response to the 30-day questions for Turkey Point is as follows:

NRC Question 1 Is the equipment necessary to execute the mitigating strategies, as described in your submittals to the NRC, available and capable of performing its intended function?

FPL Response to Question 1 Yes. Required materials and equipment to execute the mitigating strategies, as described in Enclosure 2 of FPL letter L-2007-007 dated February 9, 2007 and the NRC Safety Evaluation forwarded by NRC letter dated August 2, 2007, are available and capable of performing their intended function(s).

NRC Question 2 Are the guidance and strategies implemented capable of being executed considering the current configuration of your facility and current staffing and skill levels of the staff?

FPL Response to Question 2 Yes. Guidance and implementing procedures are in place to accomplish the objective of strategies delineated for compliance with 10 CFR 50.54(hh)(2). Implementation of the an FPL Group company
