SUBJECT:
SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR PLANT OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS REPORT NO. 2-2010-019 AND INSPECTION REPORT 05000400/2010406
Dear Mr. Burton:
On January 21, 2010, the NRCs Office of Investigations (OI) initiated an investigation to determine whether various contract security officers, employed by Securitas at the Harris Nuclear Plant, were willfully sleeping and inattentive to duty.
OI completed its review on September 24, 2010. Based on the staffs review of the details of the investigation, the NRC has concluded that enforcement action is not warranted in this case.
We plan no further action with regard to this matter. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us at (404) 997-4540.
