Reference 1 summarized the meeting between USNRC, WPSC and Westinghouse Electric Corporation on the upper plenum injection modeling for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP). Westinghouse Electric Corporation presented a proposed ECCS evaluation model (using the NRC SECY-83-472 interpretation of 10 CFR 50, Appendix K) utilizing modified assumptions on upper plenum injection for the KNPP. During the meeting, proprietary and non-proprietary slides were presented by Westinghouse. This letter transmits the following items:
- 1. Three (3) copies of WCAP-12240, "Presentation to the U. S. NRC concerning the Kewaunee (WPS) SECY-83-472 LOCA Analysis Effort (Proprietary)"
- 2. Three (3) copies of WCAP-12241, "Presentation to the U. S. NRC concerning the Kewaunee (WPS) SECY-83-472 LOCA Analysis Effort (Non-Proprietary)"
- 3. Also enclosed is a Westinghouse authorization letter, CAW-89-120, Proprietary Information Notice, and accompanying affidavit As item 1 contains information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporation, it is supported by an affidavit signed by Westinghouse, the owner of the infor mation. The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses with specificity the considerations listed in paragraph (b) (4) of Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations.
