In the cover letter for Reference 1, the NRC stated:

If you wish to contest this non-cited violation, you should provide a response within 30 days of the date of this inspection report, with the basis for your denial,to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, A TTN: Document Control Desk, Washington DC 20555-0001; with copies to the Regional Administrator,Region II; the Director, Office of Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001; and the NRC Senior Resident Inspector at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 1. -s-printed on recycled paper

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 May 11, 2011 In Reference 2, TVA requested additional time to complete a more comprehensive review of the NCV. The response date for potential challenge of the Reference 1 NCV was extended to May 11, 2011. After further review, it has been determined that TVA will not contest the violation. A Licensee Event Report will be issued in response to the NCV within 30 days, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73 and the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Operating License.
