Thursday, May 26, 2011 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. EDT U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-9B02 Rockville, Maryland Representatives of Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) will meet with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss its planned submittal of an amendment request for Fort Calhoun Station, Unit 1. The planned revisions are intended to adopt the risk informed, performance-based alternative described in "National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 805," as permitted by paragraph 50.48(c) of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
This is a Category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
Participants from the NRC include members of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) and the Office of Enforcement (OE).
