Letter fronrj NRC to TVA, "Notification of Licensed Operator Initial Examinatibn 05000390/2011-301," dated February 9, 2011 In the referenced letter, tpe Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) informed the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) that it will be administering operating tests at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (VVBN), Unit 1, during the weeks of June 6 and 13, 2011, and written examinations during the week of June 22, 2011. In addition, the NRC requested that TVA provide by April 21, 2011, the written examinations, operating tests, and the supporting reference materials identified in Attachment 3, "Reference Material Guidelines for Initial Licensing Examinations," of ES-201, "Initial Operator Licensing Examination Prpcess," of NUREG 1021, "Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reaptors." Consistent with this schedule, the written examinations, the operating tests and the reference materials were hand carried to the Region II offices on April 15, 2011, by a member of WBN's Operations Training staff.

This letter documents the completion of these actions.

This letter contains no new commitments. In accordance with 10 CFR 55.49, "Integrity of examinations and tests," and NUREG 1021, "Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors," appropriate measures have been taken to

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 ensure examination integrity and security. Accordingly, it is requested that the written examinations, operating tests and the associated documentation delivered to the NRC ,

be withheld from public disclosure until the examinations are completed later this year.
