TVA letter to NRC dated October 14, 2010, "Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Unit 2 - Mitigation Strategy Assessments and Closure Process for Phases 1, 2, and 3" This letter responds to the Reference 1 NRC Request for Additional Information pertaining to TVA's October 14, 2010 letter (Reference 2), relative to the commitments to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54 (hh)(2). This letter supersedes the commitments previously provided in Reference 2. to this letter clarifies that the Unit 2 commitments provided in Reference 2 will be functionally the same as WBN Unit 1, will be implemented considering that WBN is a dual unit site, and that physical separation between the two units' response capabilities will be maintained, as required. Enclosure 2 reiterates with clarification the WBN Unit 2 10 CFR 50.54 (hh)(2) commitments.

The enclosures to this letter contain security-related information identified by the designation "Security-Related Information - Withhold Under 10 CFR 2.390." TVA requests this information be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.390.
