OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON JANUARY 11, 2011, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY, CONCERNING REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the staff) and representatives of Arizona Public Service Company (the applicant) held a telephone conference call on January 11, 2011, to clarify information provided in the applicant's response to a request for additional information concerning the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, license renewal application. The telephone conference call was useful in clarifying the intent of the applicant's response in a letter dated March 24,2010.
The applicant verified that the "phased withdrawal of lubricants containing molybdenum disulfide" for use on reactor head closure studs would be completed before entering the period of extended operation.
The enclosure provides a listing of the participants.
The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
