NRC-2010-0304-DRAFT-0017 Comment on FR Doc # 2010-26715 , 2010 ry 05, 2011 Submitter Information Name: Harvey Address: Ill Organization:
Braidwood Nuclear General Comment I worked a fall refuel outage as a Reactor Operator.
Coming out of the outage I had 4 days off and I chose to work 2 of them. I was then scheduled for 3 -12 hour shifts and was off again scheduled off for 4 days. I again chose to work 2 of my scheduled 4 days off. Those 4 shifts that I worked in the first week and a half of the cycle put a brick on any more hours of OT for the cycle. From 11/5 to 11/28 there were 9 days that I was scheduled off. Due to the work hour restriction I was not eligible to work any of those days. I had coworkers forced to work shifts that they did not want during that time period because I was at home unable to work. I really didn't need 23 days to recover from my 4 shifts of extra work. My coworkers really didn't want to work as evidenced that they were forced. Where is the quality of life/work balance in this situation?
